Frequently asked questions.
Where does the tour depart from?
This is flexible depending on where everyone is coming from, but I like to start at the Hollywood/Western red line stop in east Hollywood.
When does it start and end?
We start at 3pm and can end as early as 9 but as late as 1, depending on everyone’s energy level. Remember, it’s a marathon, not a race.
Is transportation included?
For the most part, yes. Some stops are close enough that walking makes more sense then driving, so there will be some walking.
What is and isn’t included as far as food and drink?
I’ll take care of bites at one stop and drinks at two stops. We usually do dinner somewhere which is split evenly between the host and all the guests.
Should I eat before the tour?
Come ready to eat but not famished. There will be food at most of our stops but our first destination is a good 30 minutes away. How much you eat beforehand will impact how much you eat during our time together, and I do want you to eat while we are out. Los Angeles is a world class food city (yes, I said it) and I want you to experience this first hand, so don’t have too big a breakfast.
Where exactly are we going?
Now if I told you that it would ruin the surprise. Besides, the tour will vary depending on everyone’s taste. I’m vague so I can change the direction of the tour to suit the group.
What should I wear?
Smart casual. No shorts or sandals but everything north of there should be fine. There will be some walking so wear appropriate footwear (not heels).
I’m vegetarian.
This isn’t really a question but I see where you’re going. I’m not going to lie, there are more meat options at most of our stops, but if you don’t eat meat we’ll make it work. The focus of the tour is on bars anyway, and alcohol is almost always vegan so you’ll have a good time regardless.
I’m still not sure if your tour is for me.
What I find myself telling people most often is if you eat at McDonald’s when you travel, this probably isn’t for you. Hope this helps.
